Mutations

Used Photoshop to rehash some old works. Good for warming up the creative side. More to come...

Illustration

Just getting back into drawing from the imagination. I didn't realize how much I missed doing that. I plan on pumping out quite a few of these over the summer.

Think post-apocalyptic bio-mechanical Insectank.

Portable Canopy Habitation

My friend Alex Kozma and I collaborated on this project: a portable
platform that can be assembled in a forest setting at any height. This is meant to facilitate exploration of forest canopies, whether for science or recreation. An excellent project. Still in progress.

Backpack

The main project for my Soft Product class was essentially the complete design and construction of a backpack. Me and two other guys in the class decided to construct climbing bags, and we ended up taking our muslins (prototypes) out to some local crags to climb some single pitch. It was a beautiful climb, and we got a good idea of what did and didn't work. The final model (though I plan on redoing it once more) was made with black 400 Denier nylon. I had no previous sewing experience.

Cardboard mock-up

Belaying Jared while wearing my initial prototype. It's designed to sit above the harness.

Some "urban" climbing with my final bag.

Detail: Gear loops and adjustable hood clips.

ede

A design for a kinetic kid's toy. This was the product of a 3 month collaboration with 5 other students. The kids had a blast!

The Chairs

Welding fun.

Headlight

Cast in acrylic resin from my own head. It's now a night light in my hallway.
